New in Theaters

"Dracula"  (R) 

The remake stars Caleb Landry Jones as Dracula, a prince who renounces God after the death of his wife, then becomes a vampire who spends the next few centuries hunting for her reincarnated soul so they can be reunited forever.

"The Strangers: Chapter 3"  (R)  

The third movie in the new horror trilogy, all of which were shot at the same time then cut into three chapters.

"Solo Mio"  (PG)  

Kevin James plays an American whose dream of a romantic wedding in Rome falls apart after his fiancée leaves him at the altar.  But he decides to make the best of it and still go on their non-refundable honeymoon alone . . . making new friends and finding an unexpected romance along the way.


Other movie stuff: Ian McKellen will return as Gandalf in the new "Lord of the Rings" movie, "The Hunt for Gollum".

Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan will reportedly reunite at the Oscars to pay tribute to director Rob Reiner. The details of the tribute are being kept a secret for now. 

"The Wizard of Oz" will air on free broadcast TV later this year, for the first time in almost three decades.  It will be on Me TV in October.  

Bill Nye is getting a lifetime achievement award at the Children's and Family Emmys. 

The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the return of Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mother Nancy, or the capture and conviction of her abductors. So far, no ransom notes have been verified, but police did arrest someone who sent a FAKE one.
