Def Leppard is going to release a 10 song greatest hits collection, but it will only be available on vinyl.  It’s available for pre-order now. 

The New York Times Magazine put out their list of the top 30 living American Songwriters.  Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen made the list.  So did Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton, Carole King, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Nile Rodgers, Lana Del Rey, Fiona Apple, Diane Warren, Willie Nelson, and Taylor Swift. But somehow, they omitted Billy Joel–even though he name checked the Times in one of his songs.  The list was compiled by polling over 250 industry experts who nominated over 700 artists, with six NY Times critics finalizing the unranked list.

Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, sons of Kiss’s Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, announced the release of their debut album.  It will be called "Dancing While the World is Ending", and it drops on Aug. 28.

This is what we’ve come to now: Spotify introduced the "Verified by Spotify" badge.  It’s to help listeners be able to tell the difference between authentic human artists and AI.

And Finally, 12-year-old North West (Spawn of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian) released a six-song EP today called "N0rth4evr".  She released a video for the title track and it's a mix of metal and rap.
