Following the death of the legendary Dolly Parton yesterday at the age of 80, NBC and CBS have tributes pre-empting regularly scheduled programming tonight. ABC memorialized her on 20/20 last night. Dolly died after a brief battle with cancer, but had not publicly shared her cancer diagnosis.
The Daily News says Dolly will be buried in Nashville, next to her husband, and will be laid to rest wearing high heels. Page Six says she wanted the gospel hymn “If We Never Meet Again” sung at her funeral. It was one of her Daddy’s favorites.
Collider magazine says Ryan Gosling is in the early stages of developing a live-action Flintstones movie for Warner Bros. The film will follow an adult Bamm-Bamm.
Netflix is dropping four comedy documentaries in October. One on Norm Macdonald, one on Martin Mull, one on Maria Bamford, and another one on "SCTV".
A celebration of the NBC show “30 Rock” will take place on October 11th at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The show will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem. Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer are set to appear, but it won’t be televised.
